Capacity building in developing communities:
With Aloha will focus on collaborating with other organizations that have built the necessary governmental contacts (in the United States and in the foreign/developing country) and in-country networks that enable the delivery of programs within the local communities aimed at introducing and strengthening the knowledge, abilities and skills of individuals, thereby fostering and supporting sustainable local development.
International cultural and educational exchange:
With Aloha will build understanding and support within Hawaii and other communities for its disaster relief and capacity-building programs by sponsoring speakers (development work experts and perhaps from the local communities of the developing countries) and other individuals to make presentations in Hawaii and elsewhere.
Collaborative disaster relief:
With Aloha will, whenever possible, identify and work directly with the charitable institutions of, and other charitable organizations “on the ground” in, the devastated areas to provide for the immediate basic and medical needs of the disaster victims.
